I know there is already a question about when you can feed your RES fish- but I feel like he's so small still! But I know as young as he is, and from what I've read, they're more carnivorous at this age and I want to satisfy that side of him! Mealworms die so fast so they only wiggle around for a few seconds plus I shouldn't be feeding him too many of those (but I can tell he loves them when I have given them to him), and I wanted to give him something to chase around and enjoy during this stage. He's about 2 inches (and growing...fast!!!) I was looking at the rosie reds in the store and I just feel like he would choke on those! Please let me know of anything that I can give him (whether it's fish or something else) that will satisfy him!
Also- on a second note- I feed him throughout the day what would equal about the size of his head hollowed- but is that bad? I'll feed him in the morning- then once in the afternoon- then once in the evening! He won't even touch the old food that has soaked up water and if he does he spits it right back out so I just scoop the old stuff out when I put new in! Let me know if what I'm doing is wrong!
