Feeding and Nutrition :: Cherries!

Turtle diets and eating habits discussed here.

I have had a hard time getting Tilly to eat anything but pellets. Since I got her at 3 years old and she had only been fed pellets, it's been difficult. But today I was eating some fresh cherries and decided to give her a half (no pit) and she gobbled it up! I gave her another half and she took it from my fingers! :o

Has anyone else fed their turtles cherries? I think it would be good for her but it wasn't on the "to feed or not to feed" lists.

Oh, and I have 3 great kids and 1 fantastic husband!

I believe it would fall into the occasional food bracket along with other fruits, so around once a month shouldn't hurt anything.

A bit now and then wouldn't hurt. I've been giving my turts quartered blueberries occasionally, which they really like.
