I just chop it into really small peices and throw them in the water
Or you can buy them pre sliced in a package

Nah, they're not too hard. Just cut them up. I buy the kind that's already shredded, it's convenient.

I use a peeler to cut thin slices that move a little like worms in the water current. My turtles like to chase after them, grab them and rip them up to eat. :D

I've cut up carrots for my turtle a bunch of different ways. I've chopped them up into round slices, diced them, and peeled them. I've found my turtle likes them best if I peel them, then chop the slice into a small piece. He is still a baby though, so he prefers smaller bites. (:

My turtles are with marisa's. They love the thin slices. It's the only way my boy will eat them.

I was shredding carrot with the food processor to make carrot salad, and I fed it to Sy like that and he went nuts for it. But Sylar's a good eater. he'll actually just bite chunks out of a whole carrot if I stick it in his veg clip!

I cut a baby carrot in half long ways, and then just cut pieces about the size of a tic tac off.

My turtles never have eaten any kind of vegetable or cuttlebone. Only meat and pellets.

I use a fruit peeler and peel off thin slices which are easy for them to eat.

I think my carrot slices were a bit too big, and now my turtle's throat seems a bit bigger when hes taking in air above water (its puffing out more than usual i think). Could it be he's got some stuck there?
I have one RES :)
