I was thinking about adding more variety in my slider diet and I wonder if they can eat legumes like chickpeas and lentils (after soak them I guess). What do you think? Anyone has tried or has some info?

Basically, beans are a limited/moderate use item. Some of the negativity mostly surrounds the purines in them, but should be OK to add some variety.
