Maybe some LED strip lights would work, depending on what you do with a background. Everything looks cozy :)

Looks very nice! How big is the tank? Large frameless tanks make me nervous :)

Thanks :)

The tank size is 80x60x40cm with (LxWxH) and should fit around 190litres.

It was custom made by shop who sell fish tanks. I wanted transparent glue for the clear look.
I am wondering if tank this size should have frames for extra safety? Now I am nervous too! haha

Yes, the frames are important, especially a tank like yours. Just a couple of observations... I think the glass for that sized tank should be thicker and the beads of silicone are usually wider too, especially since they are holding the tank together. There are online calculators that help recommend the glass thickness.

Minn has a 100 gallon tank and a basking area I made out of PVC pipe and a piece of plastic bent to make a ramp. I was going to put slip resistant tape on it. My husband took the plastic to work to cut it and the guy who helped him suggested putting grooves in the ramp for "steps". That works really well.

(The arrow is a taped on sign telling me how high to fill it, from before I had the basking platform.)

Is there a close up of the grooves? I keep a piece of painters tape on the tank to remind me of the water levels :)

Here's a close up of the grooves. They aren't very deep but he can climb them.

Love the Kaiju theme, but that lamps seems a bit close. Do you have an infrared temp gun? That would give you a quick and accurate temperature measurement of Gamera.

Thanks for the reminder. I do have one and will check. What should the temperature be?

At minimum, 10F above water temperature. What kind of bulb is that?

(I can't tell if my reply posted) I believe it's a ZooMed bulb with both heat and full spectrum light.

Thanks for the reply. If it is their Powersun, you definitely want to make sure of the temps/distance. The Powersun is an MVB (self-ballasted mercury vapor bulb) and they put out a lot of UVB and heat.
