Hey guys, I have two turtles, both have what I think is dry rot which has been getting better gradually, but it's still pretty severe. Both of them rarely shed scutes and when they do they only one or two scutes falling off, and this dry rot is isolated to their old scutes. Some of them have started to lift, but they haven't came out for a few months, and I know I shouldn't be helping them shed. What should I do?

Do you have any pictures? In most cases it's shell fungus which is mostly treatable.

I do, here are photos of the two of them, one has the top part of his shell starting to peel off but it's been like that for months.

If the shell is still firm, it looks like shell fungus. The scutes look a bit retained/overgrown, so they are likely being fed too much.

Alright, it is still firm, got it. What can I do at home to try to help them and remove the shell fungus?

Lots of basking should help them shed, but fungus can usually grow faster than that. Silver Sulfadiazine Cream would work best in most cases.

I've tried in the past to get silver sulfadiazine cream, but I need a prescription where I live, can't get it anywhere, are there any other things I could do with something more readily available?

Do you know of anyone in the medical field? They use the same stuff. I've also seen some buy it on amazon and ebay. Lastly, some have used alternative anti-fungal creams but you have to search the forum for which ones as I do not track or test those.

I do not, unfortunately. I live in Singapore, I tried to get the same thing in the past and have tried an anti-fungal cream but it didn't work, I probably need to try another one.
