holy crap that snail is HUGEE!!..
i have one bigger black snail in my tank, he does a good job cleanin up..he leaves small turds that make their way to the filter rather easily..but i only have one, so i havent really had any problems with filter clogging or anything else..but with numbers, im sure it could get out of hand..

Apple snails get very large and are aquatic snail. They aren't long and skinny they are big and round. Imagine that they are big like an apple

its the nutritional value of the frog that could be bad for the turtle

a little protein for a turtle is not a bad thing as long as its in moderation ask any relible source, as long as the frogs are not toxic there is no harm in feeding them to turtles especially since painters are native to my area and they are wild rescues...so in the absence of seeing all the turtles drop dead in the ponds around here from eating frogs i dont see the harm

The good thing about feeding whole live vertebrates like frogs is that the turtle will also get calcium from the bones and other benficial nutrients from the organs.
