Well now! This is a happy occasion. Glad to be back with all of you.
For those who don't know me, my name is George Commons and I live in Kenosha, WI. with my wife of 55 years, as of the 21st of April. I have a basement 265 gallon pond w/ attached nesting area and a pair of RESs that are almost 2 years old and 5 wild caught EPTs-3 females and 2 males.
I have an identical 265 gallon pond in the back yard that is sunk level to the ground with a buried fence 2 feet away so the turts can crawl out on land, if they want to. Also, there is an area for nesting. The turtles have been outside in the pond but I had to bring them back in to their "winter quarters" as the temp has dropped in to the 30s at night. I have 30 Black Trapdoor Snails on order that will help me keep the algae controlled in the pond. Almost forgot--am raising a hatchling RES for great grandson till it is about 2 inches. Have a nice habitat for it also.
Gonna try and get some pics posted. George :D :D

Thanks everyone for the welcome! Hey Adam.. Steve.. Jenareo, This is a great looking start to "The New and Improved Turtle Talk!"..

Not much going on with me except Myrtle (the pet store turtle that I am rehabbing) is now mine peramently. She has also graduated to the 150 gallon tank with Speedy and Squirt. Scooter would not even think about sharing his 90 gallon tank. I know that is ALOT of turtle in one tank but they are getting along fine. I have some very cute pictures of them stacking to bask and they love to play tug of war over carrot shreds.

we're getting bigger by the minute! welcome back everyone! :D
From the homegrowers soul, straight to his lungs. That's the method that I myself find fun. Start from seed and then you'll see, just how fun homegrowing can be.
