A rare treat, or use to entice to eat, but they are high in protein. It shouldn't be offered more than once or twice a month.

Sometimes it takes some tough love to get them to eat what they need to be eating instead of what they want to eat. You may have some problems getting veggies started too, since they are older. They may also prefer a different type of turtle pellet. You can experiment with other brands too.
