Does anyone have a recommendation for a submersible heater? I have an outdoor, inground 100 gallon pond and I live in Southern California. The water will cool to about 60 degrees if I don't heat it and from what I've read I need to heat it. The pond is on the West side of the house so it only gets afternoon sun.
Thanks in advance.

Are you looking for a tank heater, or a pond heater? The only thing I'm unsure of is the results of using a tank heater in an outdoor pond...some things just aren't meant to be used outside. Just wondered what you were thinking...

I guess it would be a pond heater. I read in here somewhere that the water should be around 75 degrees.

Pond heaters can be expensive. http://redearslider.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=5972

Is there a possibility that you can move the turtle indoors for the night when the weather goes below 73degrees?
