Feeding and Nutrition :: My RES eats its own poop

i found that my RES eats its own poop. of course i immediately removed the poop so he can't eat it. but if i'm not around and he poops and eat it, there's no way i can stop it. i already feed it in a seperate container in the morning and i don't put it back to the tank until he finish his business. but sometimes he doesn't do his business before i leave for work so i've to put it back in to the tank without his business done.....

'Poop eating' seems to be completely normal. Just keep doing what you're doing, and use a net to clean the excess out when you see it. Type in the word 'poop' and read other's posts on the subject. It'll put your mind at ease... although maybe not your stomach lol.
