Habitat - Indoor :: Tank q's about rocks and plants

Turtle tank setups and other indoor configurations.

Hi folks! Got a few questions about tank decorations...

1. I put in some large round pebbles and a big piece of driftwood mounted on a slab of shale. However, my turtle keeps knocking them around (and the shale piece isn't perfectly flat so it tilts and knocks slightly sometimes) and I'm wondering if this is bad for the glass bottom of the tank.

2. I want to put in some fake plants (real plants would get demolished quickly, I think...) and I'm not sure how I'd weigh them down. I know in fish tanks they're supposed to be weighed down by gravel, but I don't have gravel or sand in my tank. Any ideas? Or are there brands of fake plants that already have weighted bottoms?

Any input is appreciated! Thank you!

How heavy is the shale? Do you have a picture of the support? As for fake plants, I've seen some tied down (zip ties?) but my turtle would still destroy those.
