The space between the scutes on my baby res are like grayish kinda shiny when in the water. Is that shell rot? If so how do i treat it? Don't wanna lose another turtle.... My other one died last night but nothing was wrong with the shell on that turtle..

I'll try to get one in the morning but its really shy so might be hard to get one

Could that be a sign of growth though?

Yeah, from the description, sounds like he could be growing too fast.

I don't see shell rot. Have you tried gently wiping or brushing those areas?

Any other areas on your RES that is pinkish/reddish? What UVB lamp were you using? What are you feeding her? Did the other turtle have similar issues?

Im not sure what the brand was it was given to me the person had it laying around for a while so they had forgotten.
There isn't any pinkish or reddish on it nor did the other turtle have anything wrong with the shell

There's feeder goldfish and rosy reds swimming around in the tank from time to time I hold a fish so it could be eaten
Main diet is red worms
The pellets don't seem to interest it so they just float around and make the tank messy
