Habitat - Indoor :: Used Eheim 2215-New Media??

So I bought a second hand Eheim 2215 off Kijiji tonight.
It's my first time using a canister filter. The man I bought it from said it has all the media already in it. I have printed the media setup from this site but my question is..
Do I need to go buy new filters/carbon and biomedia or can I just rinse and use what's already in there?
He said he was using on a fish tank.

I would never use someone else's old used media unless I know that tank very well maintained and 100% sure it safe and clean !
Are you confident it's safe ?
Myself , would just buy new media !

Yeah.... I too would toss the media first. Filter media can be pretty cheap if you buy it in bulk.
