Habitat - Indoor :: Advice on Tank Upgrade

Turtle tank setups and other indoor configurations.

Right now I have a 40gal breeder tank that I purchased just over a year ago when I bought my cute little guys Squirtle and Myrtle who are now just over a year old.

I've been thinking about upgrading for some time now but wanted to gauge what size would be good and for how long it would be good for. After searching for weeks now on Craigslist I wanted to find a larger tank that looks like it's in good shape from the pictures and I believe I finally have.

It's a 125 gal that's only months old, in a town very close to me, and they are including a stand and an FX6 with purchase. What do you guys think? You think it'll be worth the upgrade during their growing years? I'll have to upgrade once more but after I determine sex and wait til their longer and older.

Any suggestions or comments are appreciated, thanks again everyone for all the helpful insight :D

Looks like a good deal! You could always sell that stand and tank later too to recuperate the cost, and end up with an FX-6 for cheap.

Do you currently have space for a stock tank setup?

Be careful with Craigslist !

Looks like a fair deal ! Month's old ? ... Still used ! Check well , if all good go for it.
Ask to see water in tank if not setup for leaks. Not everyone can or knows how to reseal a tank. Run FX in water should not hear a sound they are super quiet running !
It's not a Marineland tank or custom but a regular glass tank , ok. Also not acrylic good they get scratched up by turtles claws !
Personally I don't like the lite duty stand but it works ? That tank with full water is 1043 lb's !!!

Could be a good deal check well !

Gotta agree, seems like a good deal especially if help with delivery is included. Is the stand designed for tanks? A 125 filled could weigh more than 1200 lbs. Also not a deal breaker, but is the tank under warranty?
