I usually use the exo 13 watt every six months. Went to pet smart today and got a national geographic 13watt bulb with 10% uvb it was on sale for 5 bucks so I thought I'd try it out.. Anybody have success with these bulbs or is the exo terra the best bang. Also another question are the 26 watt bulbs a little over kill? I also use a neodymium basking bulb 75watt both about 8-10 inches away from the floating dock. If anybody have comments suggestion please post em up...

I believe most national geographic stuff is just rebranded from other manufacturers, and not the high end stuff either. So it should be OK if you're replacing it frequently. 26w should be fine, just be careful and use the appropriate distances. With the basking lamp... are you also measuring temperatures? How big is your turtle?
