Hubby is finally earning a good pay check, so I want to buy Philbert some more variety in food, since right now he eats just about anything..lol

Can anyone advise on this link from petsmart what is decent quality? Right now he has Reptomin pellets, shrimp and Krill. I was thinking that maybe I should get something more vegie based. To also throw in for variety.. Should I get him wheat germ food or something else?

It doesn't show on this list but they do have a few Omega 1 products actually on the shelf in the store.. Do you think I should just stick with that brand and choose from whatever they have on the shelf right now?? I think they have Omega One vegie blocks in the fridge for I think $10 or around that... I have not had a chance to price OMega one products online.. Are they a lot cheaper somewhere online??

Thank you for you tips as always..

I like the looks of these blocks. If the protein percentage is right, I can't see how you could over feed with these blocks.
Any thoughts on these blocks??

Omega one turtle sticks is what I feed. I look for them on sale with free shipping and buy in bulk. Just search on line. Cant comment on the blocks.

I got some OMega 1 Veggie rounds for now.. He has all the other Omega products in the Reptomin. want to finish that first before Switching.. I think I will try the blocks next month.. I not only want him to have a variety of food but also a variety of ways to eat it.. Just so he can get his brain working and coordination working..

I've heard good things about San Francisco Bay. I like to use Mazuri and some Koi pellets. I'll occasionally get Omega One as well, though they do carry a premium price.

I wanted to buy him a rosy red.. but tank was empty. Has anyone ever fed crickets as a live prey?? I didn't bother with them.. cause I have no cover for my tank. But I wonder if they would enjoy the natural chase of in insect.. He loves the veggie rounds.. one round kept him busy for at least five minutes.. I guess one is enough for him as small as he is right now.. lol

I have dried Krill and Shrimp in my Reptomin Jar, it came with four compartments two pellets the other two shrimp and Krill. So he has that for now. But do plan to switch to better brands as I use this jar up..

Just noticed your link.. Those Krill look yummy for a turtle..lol I will definitely look into that when he finishes the freeze dried stuff.. I would imagine at his size one of those would be too much food for him.. they look meaty..lol

They like the krill but then again what don't they like! I also give them some raw saltwater fish as a treat. Any live fish can carry parasites so there is a small risk with feeding feeder fish. I have fed them in the past but choose not to now.
