He's adorable! These turtles get huge and are aggressive (needs to be kept alone)... http://www.austinsturtlepage.com/Care/c ... tshell.htm

Drats, I don't have a large enough tank for a female fully grown , I already have to get a huge tank for a male lol

Maybe she will be on the smallish side? My female RES isn't too big compared to other RES her age.

Softies can gut up to like 2 feet :/ and I don't wanna deal will eggs again . I wanna stock tank and a better filter so I can do more for my turtles but money's tight right now .-. I hate not being able to give them more room , they're all small turtles but I have 4 of them in a 55 gallon , just feel like they don't have enough space :c

Looks great! If you don't mind some comments, I would hang those lights on either the ceiling or wall. Use a GFCI outlet for all aquarium equipment. I'm not sure what's holding down the basking area and maybe throw on a background if you want to hide some of the wires. Did you decide on the sand?

I had sand in it . I just moved me and my boyfriend have an apartment now on our own and I just moved the tank yesterday . Hadnt decided weather I wanted to put sand in it . And I moved my softshell and my Mississippi map into a 35 together cause one of my bigger turtles was picking on the smallest of the tank so I just separated them , but yea I wanna hang my lights from the ceiling or I wanna make an actual basking area for the top of the tank and then I'll have my lights on that , we're taking things one week at a time lol , I'm hopefully getting a 75 gallon tank and a Rena xp3 and something else not sure yet , but yea I'm working on things slowly !

Hope your basking area can't fall off. Looks good. I like sand and have white sand in my stock tank. I do not recommend Rena filters they have problems.
