Hi, I'm new to this forum and have recently adopted a RES baby. I bought a second hand fish tank and got a few accessories with it. I went shopping today for a light bulb to provide heat for his basking area and bought a 150W Moonlight Bulb. Would this be adequate for my RES and how do I know how close to the basking area it needs to be. I'd appreciate advice!

Welcome to the site! I'm not sure how much heat that would provide, but that's a lot of wattage. If it's also for night time, I would return this bulb. Hatchlings are more sensitive to temperatures, you don't want something too hot.
