But as precaution you should get a heater, the obe you posted is a bit small its rated for 30gallons you should find obe that is rates for your tank size and you may need to build a burn guard so he does not burn himself.
And if you if you still have the same water in the tank that had the 5 month turtle in you should do a complete water change and clean the fliter just to be safe

My tank is 13 gallons, and i already changed the water.

13 or 31! If its ethier if those you need a way biger tank. For a 5 year old silder you need 75-90 gallons at least. If you cant afford one pick up a big rubbermaid contaner
