Hi there. Does anyone know the shell length of a newly hatched RES? I found a new hatchling, probably hatched the day before. I forgot to measure his carapace so I could keep track of growth. Perhaps keepers who have hatched RES would know this. It is a charming and greedy little creature, I am feeding him or it as the guidelines here. Thank you for any response.

Usually about 1". Does he still have his yolk sac and egg tooth?

No signs of neonatality such as egg tooth or yolk sac. He must have been a bit older than I thought when I found him, up on a hill between two ponds. I guess he had be out and about a few days trying to make it back to the water.
