Hello.

I have been keeping a YBS for a few months. Few days ago I was wondering if my turtle is pyramiding.

What do you think?

Do you have more pictures? It kind of looks like a Cumberland Slider more than a YBS.

Also, the spreading of the scutes is the first sign of overfeeding, which leads to pyramiding.

What are you feeding it? How much? How often?

At this size, all the need is a few pellets a day. They'll keep begging for more, but remember it's for there own good not to feed more.

I am feeding 'sera reptil carnivorous' for young turtles 4 pellets every morning and 2-3 small dried shrimps and lettuce in the afternoon.

Is this too much?

What do you suggest me to feed?

Looks pretty good overall, but I would cut down on the pellets a little or shrimp completely. I also prefer to feed lettuce in the mornings, but I guess that depends on how much you use.

Still can't quite tell species. It's most likely a YBS. Very nice shell!
