I have been thinking of getting some underwater lights, any recommended brands? Once I put the tile on the top the basking light will not reach under it and that area would be really dark so I need to place something there. I was thinking of using a hanging light on the side of the tank but really an underwater light would be perfect.

When you figure it out let me know, I have the same issue, i am thinking of using white leds glued to the bottom of the ramp.

Starscream, that's a good idea but make sure they are fully submersible lights. Since you're gonna get a huge tank you could also use marineland led the one with bubblers they look pretty cool depending on the way your tank is setup. I googled a few and although I did find a bunch on ebay and other random websites, I couldn't really find one that had good reviews or a good trustable name brand. I'm weary of putting a random light in my tank that might electrocute my turtles! lol Hopefully someone comes through who uses them, I mean there has to be ! the only other alternative I can think of is to use hanging lights. I will also check out my local LFS for some.

If it's a glass tank, why not have it on the outside of it? Get some LED rope light and you can easily customize it.

That's pretty much what I have concluded it to but the thing is that the driftwood I am putting in there goes right underneath the basking area and covers most of the tank from the side to so I will have to see whether the lights would work from outside of the tank

Finally added the driftwood to my tank. Also bought another plant to put around it, looks pretty cool! I am also considering not placing the tile anymore as the platform since the zoomed one looks good and fits well.

The whole tank

They love their new driftwood and even the plant, they have abandoned their old plant and started sleeping in the new one :)

Looks very nice! Be extra careful with the dock bars. When it first came out, there were a number of small turtles who drowned when getting stuck between them.

Looks really nice. If your going to feed in tank you might find the rocks trap a ton of stuff! I had rock in my tank but swapped it out for sand. the best thing I ever did. Just a thought.

Steve you're right I have read that somewhere on this forum before aswell. I guess i'm going to lift the bars on the dock to where there is no space left for them to go under. Kansasslider I feed them in the tank, I also have a couple danios and minows in the tank I feed them as well so the rocks do trap a lot of mess but I vacum it out when I do water changes. Sand is awesome but Im not sure if I want to go that route just now. I will for sure once I do an upgrade to a 200+ gallon tank next year.

I just want to say this, because I think it's funny. You have a turtle named Heisenberg, I have one named Pinkman.

That is all.
