Post Posted: Fri Jan 18, 2013 2:18 pm   Need Suggestion/Advice for Pellets Wardley/ZooMed/SeraRaffy

Hello Friends,

Have you guys fed your turtle :mrgreen: one of these:

=> Wardley's Reptile Premium Sticks

=> Zoo Med Aquatic Turtle Food Pellets Maintenance Formula

=> Sera Raffy I Turtle Food

Any ideas about how they are?

So far I have fed them mix of these ones:

=> Tetra ReptoMin

=> Nutrafin Turtle Pellets

=> Exo Terra Pellets

Thank you. :D

I have used Reptomin, Omega, and a third one which I cannot remember (I know it wasn't one on the ones you mentioned). They both work well. I have heard good things about Wardley and I use ZooMed for my bulbs and some other items. However, I'm not sure what they mean by Maintenance Formula.

Hope that helps.

Mazuri http://www.mazuri.com/mazurifreshwaterturtlediet-1.aspx

They recently had a 2 for 1 sale. Got 2 lbs of food for the price of one!
They also have food for your pet elephant, camel, or kangaroo.

I haven't tried those but I do mix up a few different brands for my turtles. They don't seem to have a preference :)

A good read, i refer to this to see how certain pellets stack up against others. http://theturtleroom.com/2012/04/27/com ... pplements/

Thanks a lot for the replies friends.

I am thinking about getting both Mazuri and ZooMed.

Any ideas about where can I find Mazuri Fresh Water Turtle Diet in Canada?

I disagree with the site on one thing, the reptomin is not as bad as being given credit for! If use it in conjunction with other pellets as a varied pellet diet, it works just fine. We don't feed as much pellets to an adult. More greens are offered than anything. I still to this day use reptomin with Omega-One. Any large pet supply store should offer turtle supplies and have a good selection of turtle pellets. I still recommend reptomin and Omega-One. I just offer a couple pellets of each (enough to fit the size of his head if it were hollow) to my 3 yrs. old male every other day.

Is there any site from where I can order Mazuri/ZooMed/Omega One all together?

I don't normally see Mazuri on sale except on their own site.

Yes but you do exactly as they recommend. Combining with another pellet lol and omega-one at that, which is one of the best haha.

I know from my experience when i switched from reptomin to Mazuri i noticed my turtles sheddings went alot smoother compared to when they were on reptomin. Really made a difference with the boost of Vitamin E that Mazuri gave that reptomin lacks. Thats why i agree with them, need a combination with reptomin.

Ahhh now that part would make sense, I over shadowed the Vitamin E or there lack of. I might change Toku to Mazuri as well. It's another classic, I've been using it 10 yrs...... Haha. Thanks for posting this. I do like the Omega-One, it doesn't foul the water and Toku engulfs them whole, leaving no mess.
