I'm getting one of those built but the whole front panel is glass and the basking area and ramp are also glass

This is a great post ! I wish I had the room in my home to get my Flipps a 120 gallon tank I saw , but thankfully she is doing very well and is one healthy trutle :) !! One day she will !

Thanks for the kind words about the thread. Yes, 120G tanks are huge and it's understandably difficult to dedicate that much space.

You have done an awesome job, and this has been a wealth of information!
You are right. It is hard to find the space for large tanks; I have also found that the maintenance increases tri-fold (or more)
All the gizmos and gadgets you have introduced have been a tremendous help!

I haven't measured recently, but I'd say Moe is somewhere around 4". I'll try and catch him for an official measurement sometime this week.

Sorry guys I know I owe some measurements and some updates on the planted tank. Our household just got over the flu and I've been buried at work. I'll do my best to post some updates this weekend.
