well these are two new musk turtle that i got from my uncle that found them in his yard. he knew that i have a couple of turtle so i went and got them. have a look and let me know what you all think. like i said i beleave that there razor back musk turtles.

Yes they are. Your going to want to get rid of that gravel before they choke.

If they don't choke, it can affect their digestive system.

That's colored sand. I don't use gravel. I have sand in my 75 gallon with my res and map turtles. I didn't think the sand would bother the musk turtles

ultimately its your choice what you do, of course, but i would take the current substrate out; like said.
because whatever the name of the substrate is, it looks big enough for your turtle to choke on. especially if he takes a gulp-full. so i would opt for a bare bottom tank or switch your current substrate to sand.
better safe than sorry.
