So sorry to hear about Olive :( . I recently got a friend for Nighthawk and noticed when I put her in there that she got stuck between the filter and the glass. I moved the filter over a little bit. Seems to be a dangerous spot! Everyone should be careful of that, specially with baby turtles! :roll:

The bars with the zoo med dock also pose a trapping problem.

It's the bars they like squeeze behind. Unfortunately they like to explore in tight spaces.

oh. i meant using only zip ties and the zoo med basking place. so with taking out the 'brackets' you
have a more appealing place, IMO.

Oh, I think I get it. I've seen people turn the bracket upside down, so the bars are out of the water. Those bars are there to let the dock "float" and adjust to the water level but it's not really necessary.
