It's normal if the scute pattern is a little irregular. Though his seams are pretty dark and wide, indicating he's growing a bit too fast. Nice pics!

Ya, I'm not sure if a lot of that growth was before I got him. I don't know if/what the pet store was over feeding. All I know is I don't feed him all that much. Once a day at most, and it's no more than can fit in his head.

You can even cut that down. It never hurts to give them a little less than that IMO, especially when you add different stuff for them.

The silicone needs to cure for the next 24 hours before it's good to go in the tank.

He's used it to glue the tile to the pipes I believe. :)

Not sure if that would hold as pictured with the clamp. Could just drill a hole and use a zip tie.

I used the silicone to hold the tile to the pvc. It's holding for now, but I'll keep an eye on it. Just checked it again today, and it's fine.
