I dunno, I suddenly had a liking of taking pictures of my turtles recently.... Moving on! I gave Iggy and Mocha their usual evening stroll around the room while I do my work. I think about 3 minutes or so, I turned around and.....



He's already at the front door! It usually took him about 10 minutes to either reach my sneakers or the front door. Didn't know he was getting faster now....



Caught him before he hurts himself under the.... um.... Door hole? Anyways, does his shell looks fine? I'm a bit worried about the 'black lines'....


Mocha didn't go so far, he chose to quickly enter my sling bag and took a nice warm sleep in it....



And I just noticed, Mocha lost one of his claw.... Poor little guy~

They only have 4 claws on the rear feet, if that's what you're seeing

The black lines are most likely turtle growth. The new shell growth is darker and then lightens to normal color. Turtles are very fast dont let them fool you!

@Steve, thanks for the info! I freaked out when I was 'tooth brushing' Iggy's shell and saw that he 'lost' his rear claw too! I was thinking that the rock was the cause and was about to take them out. Silly me for not knowing....

@Diamondbacks4Life, thanks for the heads up! I should make a barrier on the less visible places, especially that hole on my metallic locker....

That's funny!
All you have to do is blink and they are gone.
Keep that in mind if you ever take them outside
and I guess, don't be surprised if you open your book bag at school and find Mocha staring at you -
