Yeah, that excess sugar may not be good for it and might turn to fat. You should be stern with him/her and give the foods you want to be eaten and if your turt doesn't eat them right away, just leave it, he/she will eat it eventually. It doesn't have to be -only- pellets(unless its a baby,baby), you could try leafy greens or even some live foods like minnows or guppies. Live foods are more enticing to a turtle though and stimulates their "hunter" instinct. Hope you can get your turt back on track
