Just fyi, keep a REALLY close eye on her when she's on the counter. Sliders are not like mammals in the way that they won't jump off the edge. I used to let my hamsters crawl on the tables, etc an they knew not to go off the side. An aquatic turtle will not hesitate to fly off the edge because they expect that there's water underneath.

I ordered my filter. An aquaclear 50 (on sale at Petco.com for 17.99). It should be here in 3 to 6 days.

Big Als usually is more than sufficient when it comes to fish/turtle supplies. It pays to buy in bulk though.

Petco.com has free shipping on the Aquaclears, so it was cheaper to get it there. Big Al's is awesome, though.
