If the country you live is in the winter season, than that could be the cause. Some turtles just naturally slow down in the winter months - this would explain it's loss of appetite.

As long as your turtle is eating SOMETHING and behaving normally than I don't think you have anything to worry about :)

Well as a matter of fact, we are in the winter seasons. The thing is that he won't eat pellets anymore, but he eats mealworms any time. I'm guessing that's normal though

How old is your turtle? Turtles are known for being picky eaters, requiring alot of patience on your part :)
Definitely keep offering pellets and try to push veggies, offering them daily (even if your turtle is young, introducing vegetables early will ease the transition later in life when they require less protein). I know it's tempting, but try to limit the amount of "snack foods" you give your turtle. It seems your turtle may just be picky so continue to offer pellets and eventually he will come around!
