Feeding and Nutrition :: After Many Years - RES Refusing Lettuce

Turtle diets and eating habits discussed here.

I gave my RES, Yaddle, some carrot Sunday (that she usually goes bonkers for) but this time she only bit it into pieces and didn't actually eat it.

Now she doesn't seem to be totally herself and will not eat the red leaf lettuce that she has eaten for years with no problem.

She still will eat her pellets and she ate a little carrot Tuesday but will not touch the lettuce.

I am afraid that the carrot I gave her Sunday might have been old?

We also had an unusual 3-day freeze down here in Houston last weekend but the house temp has stayed the same with the central heater on. But her water might be a little colder than usual.

She is basking, but doesn't seem to have the same spunk and wont touch the lettuce now.

Any ideas? thanks in advance.

i think its just the temp drop, check the temp on the tank. mine slow down if they get cold also, refusing food.
not an expert but thats what happens with my two.
