Man, I wish I could get ghost shrimp for 10c each! The cheapest here is 99c, and most places sell them for $2.99+ :( I got a couple each for my turts one time. I saw them for the first couple of days, and then they disappeared. I figured they got eaten. But 2 weeks later when I was doing a water change, sure enough, they they were! They're sneaky little buggers! Though not sneaky enough. I'm quite sure they're gone now ;)

What size is your tank? That would help gauge how many to put in there.

I throw in a dozen every 2 weeks and they snack for a few days till they're gone, except my softshell he eats them all in about 5 minutes. lol

I'd say anywhere between 10-20 would be a good number. If there are some spots for them to hide, then they'll last longer. They help clean the junk from the bottom of the tank.

I placed two in with my RES. The RES chased them for a bit but eventually gave up. One got eaten after a few days but I think it may have just died...I figured the other one got eaten too as I hadn't seen it for 3 weeks, but the other day I saw something wizz past super fast and realised the other shrimp was still alive :) They are close to impossible to spot sometimes!
