Habitat - Outdoor :: Dragonflies are being attracted to my pond. Good or Bad?

Ponds and other outdoor enclosures.

My res was basking this morning and being slightly harassed by this red dragonfly hovering around the pond. Im guessing its the time of the year that dragonflies lay eggs in water. Is this something to be concerned about?

I have 6 very large goldfish and one koi in the pond with my res

No idea. Try googling it to see if they're toxic when eaten.

There safe to eat. Your fish will get the nymphs way before your turtle ever seems them anyway. You have know idea the amount of insects that is actually going into your pond that the fish make work of. The dragonfly just happen to be big so you noticed it

Dragonflies actually prey on mosquitoes in larvae and adult form. That is if you suffer from those pesky bugs. Mosquitoes also lay eggs in water. So it could simply be hunting for food.

I love dragonflies! They are attracted to water (as are frogs). I wouldn't worry about them and your RES.
