My 4 painteds today when i got home are gone from outside. I cant believe someone is heartless enough to do such a thing. Im am crying so bad right now.

No they cant escape i have giant metal air conditioning screens over whole stock tank with bricks on them. Only a person could lift them. Im asking around but i have no hope.

How terrible! I'm so sorry! I think I'd put put posters in the neighborhood asking for a reward for information (at least). Who knows you have turtles? Were they easily visible in the yard? Has anyone been in the yard to do any repairs lately (not accusing, but it never hurts to think of all possibilities).

Whoever took them is really a creep...

A man, that really sucks. I sure hope you get them back soon. Like everyone else says, just let it be known around your neighborhood that you lost them and really want them back, and probably someone will know something and let you know.

I know some people know a few little kids. So They tell there friend and they say somthing to someone else so who knows how many really know.

Basically my ideas:

1)It was a kid/kids who wanted turtles.
2)Someone whos going to sell them
3)Someone who thinks turtles belong in the wild and released them.
4) A F***ed up prank!

Honestly im so mad right now and heartbroken at same time

The thing that really sucks is lets say i dont get them back which is probably going to happen.

Its illegal to sell E. painteds in PA it took me a 5 year period of going to lots of petstores that happen to get one in by accident or someone had one and gave it to the petstore. Its too expensive to order and ship painteds off websites. So i am stuck.

You should file a police report.

If someone is found with the turts, they can be charged with entering a privite property, theft and animal cruelty.

that's a good idea, having a police report will be good for when you do find them, and might even scare the person into giving them back if they see that in the paper or something.

Was anything ever found out? If not, it might be good to get your local paper to write an short article about their disappearance and ask for help in their return. Even an ad might help...
