Box Turtle and Tortoise Discussion :: Can Tortoises swim

Not like I will do this, but I was wonder what would happen if someone put a Tortoise in to a turtle type setup . Can they like swim or what?

for a short time. but they'd tire quickly and drown. sometimes Jose my box turtle will 'swim' but i dont let him do it often.

The person I was saving them for never got back to me... But now I am Diamond Back kick and really want one. lol

Joey, they're not for beginners. Hopefully you don't take that as an insult, because it's not at all. Read up on them as much as you can. They require brackish water, and care is more complicated than with res.
