hm, id say one each thats it.

arent they like 10 bucks each?!

also, dont be surprised if they cant see them, unless you plan to hand feed them to the turtles.

live shrimp sounds like a fun event though haha

I usually get a dozen or so and divide them between my two turtles. I don't get them often... not because they are that protein loaded, but more because I don't think they offer much excitement for the turtles. So i buy them about once every three or six months.

They do clean your tank though, but I don't think a tiny ghost shrimp is gonna make much of a difference in a large turtle tank.

My local PetCo doesn't carry them, but they told me that I would LOVE this lovely cleaner shrimp for $24.99. HA! No.

I still have one ghost shrimp left that has managed to evade Izzy for a few months now. He hides inside a huge log that she can't fit in, but she knows he is there. She will stalk that log sometimes for hours, but he is on to her. I had bought 3 and put in there and immediately one was gone. It took her a few weeks to get the other one.

I do have to say that his side of the tank is rather clean on the bottom!

He is kinda funny to watch - he will come out an explore when she is basking, but the minute she hits that water he is gone back to the log!
