Most freshwater snails are fine. If you're wondering about a particular kind, search the forum to find out if someone has tried them before. http://www.redearslider.com/forum/search.php

Hi MaryR,

I think I know why you didn't get many responses - it's because people thought you were asking about a type of snail because that's the title of the topic but I think you are really asking about blueberries - the fruit.

If so, then blueberries are very good for turtles, even very small turtles. They are high in vitamin e, which helps with shedding, and relatively low in sugar (for fruit). If your turtle is really tiny, you can give him a half or whole blueberry every week or so. For a bigger turtle, you can give several blueberries at a time.

If I've misunderstood your question....my apologies. I don't know anything about a blueberry snail.

LOLOLOLLOLOLOL I'm soooo crazy....You answered it just fine SpotsMama...I write and think too way ahead sorry everyone. Yeah they r small and I gave each of them 1/2 a blueberry each but piglet Tuck swam and grabbed Ling Ling's B4 she could get to it. And he had stool the next day that just swirled to ifinity when I tried to scoop it with the pooper net...So I guessed he had a lil loose stool looked normal in the water but just dissolved when it came to removing it. So I just gave them pellets for a few days then added back the lettuce and anacharis, All's well today....Thanks a bunch

I had a problem with the stool being loose and I tried using a brine shrimp net and it works a lot better, now I don't have a problem.

Where did you get the anacharis? It is illegal in Michigan.
