Some people feed cooked egg whites as a treat (no yolks) but no more than once a month, and no more than the size of their head

They are fine as a rare treat- just like other high protein items like feeder fish and shrimp are. You just can't feed eggs often. Once a month max.

I give my turtles bits of cooked egg whites, probably every 2-3 weeks. Frequency depends on how much they get at a feeding (which isn't much).

well i don't feed my turtles a lot during the week. i feed them regularly turtle pellets fruits and some other things i have in my fridge and my cabinet. i just don't want to harm them or scare them i want to make them live free in my house you know?. anyway, i guess feeding them egg whites about once a month might keep a small balance on protein. since i just finished buying a new bottle of turtle pellets, i dont feed them (turtle pellets) that much, i decided to try eggs instead of what i use to feed them to give a balance of nutrition

You didn't mention lettuce. Try to include a shell sized piece of lettuce 3-4 times a week and only give fruits once per week.
