I plan on purchasing some Anacharis plants for the aquarium but how do I plant them? I don't know how long and if they'll last but let's just assume they'll live for now lol.

You don't have to plant the anacharis......just let it float in a big clump. Turtles love to move it around the tank & eat it.

Thanks, but just to confirm, does that mean they don't have to be firmly planted to grow?

If you want to them to grow, don't put all the strands in the tank---keep some in a separate container of water in good lighting. I've been told they root faster if they're stuck in something like pea gravel, but I've always grown anacharis by keeping it in a small tank in a sunny window (or using a plant light) and changing the water periodically.
