I had to provide my RES with a larger basking platform. The next size up was the extra large for ponds and large aquariums. It's mounted by suction cups but floats with a string and weight bag attached. He's having difficulty climbing on. Does anyone have a creative idea on to get around this? I tied the string to the tank stand, but it still floats around to much.

Any pics of how it looks? You can try a variety of magnets (aquarium glass cleaners) and larger suction cups. I'm using silicone lids to stabilize cork bark and while it doesn't look great, it's 100% safe and effective.
