Need advice on two filters I am considering

Hello Experts

Our red ear has outgrown her tank and we are setting up something larger. I am looking at canister filters. The manager at the aquarium store we use recommended the Eihem 2217. On Amazon these are 150.00. On Amazon the SunSun Brand HW304B 5 stage canister is half the price. I don't want to be penny wise and pound foolish. Any experience with the less expensive one? Any recommendations?

THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!

What size tank do you think you'll have? Eheim is a quality brand. If you want a budget canister, I would lean towards an Odyssea CFS.

See this thread for filter sizing: viewtopic.php?f=9&t=30145

The eheim 2217 is good for about 55 gallons of water with a turtle but eheim is one of the most expensive brands. It is far and away the best brand you can buy but you'll pay for it. SunSun is a generic brand that seems to be more hit than miss. There are others on the market with varying prices. The Fluval line, the Rena XP, and a few others. Buy a filter much bigger than you think you need and you'll understand why later. :-)
