Hi,

I was just wondering if any one could give me any help in chooseing a new basking light for my 2 turtles.

I have found these bulbs online (cheap, I know isnt always a good idea..):

Anyone know if they are ay good for turtles?

I currently use a Arcadia 24" 18w 10%+ UVB Desert Lamp that sits on top of the tank and a 60W reflector lamp angled at the basking area.

Any help or ideas would be great, thanks.

They come from Hong Kong and I have never heard of them. The best all in one bulb you can but is the Mega Ray.

I do not know if halogens provide the usable UVB our turtles need. There is zero reliable info on that UVB lamp, so I'd stay away from it for now. Considering the power of these bulbs, I wouldn't dare risk it.

PS - I couldn't even get a regular halogen at that price here.
