I was just looking around on their site and seen this bulb. Its new and needs to be used with their fixture. Prices from Amazon.
35w...$132.49
50w...$139.10
70w...$158.96

For those prices I would wrather buy a Megaray. Just thought I would share.

Looks interesting. A little surprised to be hearing about it now. The replacement bulbs are priced OK.

That's a nice looking fixture, too bad it could only be used on their bulb.

The bulbs are priced where one can afford them. The thing I didn't see was how often you need to replace the bulb. I also can't make out their distance/uvb output charts on my phone?

It is pretty hard to see, maybe this helps:

Replacement time-table is a good question. Most likely 6-12 months as well.

The numbers on the 70watt look pretty good. Thanks Steve.

LOL. Do you have a UVB meter as well? Maybe you can get that as a bonus.

What kind of heat do they produce? Just wondering if you would also need a heat source? Meeter will have to wait.

I had to change my Avatar again because photo bucket app doesn't like my phone and my Avatar photo got deleted again. Surprisingly no one noticed I changed it this time.

I noticed the avatar. It's weird because it's been used by others in the past, so it takes time to make the connection. One time someone used my avatar and there was an uproar. As for the heat, I have no idea. I use 50W halogens, so I would probably choose the same.

I don't like changing avatar's because I use them to identify people myself. Then again my old one was kinda scary looking! The reason I asked about heat is that I don't know if metal halides put off heat. Just in case someone wants to buy this setup. Personally I'm going to get a 100w Megaray as soon as I get done fixing vehicles!

It does provide heat, but I don't know how much.

The chart on the middle one seems off, compared to the others. The numbers seem too high.

If valid, I do like the spectrum chart, but I think I'll wait for reviews.

Hopefully this product lasts longer than other subpar exoterra products. I've used Exoterra MVB's in in the past any they would only last 4-6 months before the bulb died completely.

True enough VeipaCray but don't Megaray bulbs last longer for about the same price?
