I know. Some many choices, I really enjoy seeing the creativity people put into these.

I didn't send it back because there wasn't any bubbles between the glass, so it was sealed properly. It was just they used a lot of silicone and didn't really bother cleaning it up, and you could see it standing 10 feet from the tank.

The Tank, you see how you can actually see the silicone on the left and bottom? Someone was too lazy to go back and cut out the excess silicone.

I wouldn't just be concerned with bubbles. A thin application would cause premature leaks. If it was too thick or has enough surface that protrudes, a turtle will bite it. My turtle did this when there was a small spot that had algae on it. She keep biting and eating small bits of silicone. Eventually, enough was gone to make the tank leak.

There is enough time to smooth out the silicone right after application. Cutting/Trimming after it has cured light leave an edge that is more susceptible to lifting or peeling.

I noticed the little turtle block (calcium, feeder, sulfa, etc) and I would skip it. If you need to dechlorinate the water, use activated carbon.

True, it's a bit late now. I've own it for a few years and had my flower horns in it, hopefully it'll last another 2 months with the turtle until my move.
The turtle calcium thing was a Christmas gift from my roommate, figure it wont cause any harm, so I threw it in.

Have some Frogbit, duckweed, and salvia minima coming in next week, hopefully these fast growing invasive plants will survive the wrath of the RES
