In the next few months or so, I am going to save up money to buy a 75 gallon for Sadie. Afterwards, I am going to have an extra 55 gallon tank lying around. Anyone live in, or fairly close to Connecticut that would want to pick it up? I have an extra UVB bulb, a floating dock I won't be using and one of those light fixture hoods if you feel like it's worth anything. All totaled, I'd be charging a dollar per gallon, so, it's $55 for the tank, $10 for the bulb, and the dock and light fixture are free :D

You would be responsible for getting everything, I have no way to transport the tank.

I look forward to hearing from ya'll!

Thanks. I can understand where you are coming from. I have three turtles and at one point all i had was a ten gallon setup. But i moved them into rubbermaid tanks. I used to have a 55 gallon but my nephew cracked it at a family gathering. My only advice would be to build an ATBA (Above Tank Basking Area). It will allow your turtles to have maximum swimming space as well as a larger basking area. Depending on the way you build it it will also make make your tank look nicer, compared to an in tank dock. These two basking areas are my favorite and im trying to build one that will combine these two ideas.
