Can someone who knows a lot about canister filters look at this filter for sale on ebay (see link below) and give me their thoughts??

I just purchased a 30 gallon aquarium for my 2" RES and need to get it set up. I am very new at all this and I am quickly learning that nothing is inexpensive when it comes to turtles. Although this looks like the specifications are right for a 30 gallon tank and the pirce is certainly good, I am a huge believer in "you get what you pay for"...so this looks a little too good to be true.
THoughts?? Does anyone have experience with this filter? I am thinking it is a knock off...I don't care about "name brand", but do want it to work well!

Thanks!!

It's a knock-off filter. Kind of a 50/50 shot if you ask me... could be a great investment or a total piece of you-know-what. I will say that you won't be sorry if you invest in a quality name brand filter. More money, but they will last forever and you can easily get replacement parts if something breaks.

Kind of what I am thinking...keep going back and forth. Now I am thinking maybe a H.O.T. filter...like the Aquaclear 110...because I am really worried about potential water leaks (the tank and stand is on my brand new hardwood floors!). It is only a 30 gallon tank and one 2 in turtle, so I am thinking that filter (while I know not AS good) would work well. Just not sure!
Luckily, he is quite happy in a 10 gallon set up right now, so I have a little time ot research all this.
Thanks for your comment! :)

A-nurse When purchasing a filter be wary of pump that says that it is good for a certain size tank. Many times they are sized for fish and not turtles. When purchasing a filter pump size by the gph. It should pump at least 5 times the water volume in the tank. Many pumps are sized for fish. Tutrles poop a lot more than fish.
