Equipment Review and Discussion :: How do u install a filter and a hood?

i plan on setting up a fish tank, but im confused. the filter im thinking about is a aquaclear filter that u attach to the back of ur tank and it hangs. but i want a hood lid with a light to cover the top of the tank. how do u have a filter attached to ur tank if the lid is on?

The lid has a knock out you can remove so the filter fits

You said "fish tank". Is this tank for fish or turtles?
