From http://www.beardeddragon.org/bjive/view ... &view=next

Everything i have read on this bulb makes me say nope. first there is a extreme burnoff after 100 hours of use the UV output drops to nill and its out put at the normal distance of around 18 inches is dangerously high. If you have a small enclosure you should not use a MVB and if you have a large enough (40gallon breeder or larger) enclosure for a MVB go with a Trex or a Solar Glo, i have personal experience with both bulbs and they are great IMO.

I really trust their users about MVB... UVB is critical for bearded dragon keepers.

Ya I did some research myself and I found little people say good thing about them. Anyway when they say thing like mico watt I am just wondering how much mico watt do res need?

And I am using this Repti Glo 5.0 Compact Tropical Terrarium Lamp now is this ok for res?
I been using it for 1 year now and nothing happen to my res so i guess ot should be ok?

I can't personally speak about the 5.0, though I think the Exo Terra bulbs are a bit weak. I would probably replace it about every 3 or 4 months if not sooner.

The Reptisun tubes are considered to be a good buy, but if you can only use compacts, then a Reptisun 5 or a Reptiglo 5 should be OK... do make sure they are at the proper distances and have had their burn in before placed in the tank. Also keep any eye out of swollen eyes, as there was a major issue with the Reptisuns a couple of years ago.

I've used Reptisun tubes in smaller tanks, and they've worked really well.
